Contacting the insured
Once the mandate is received by our Damage Response Centre, an agent will assign one of our GUS franchisees to your case. He or she will contact your client directly in less than 17 minutes. During this telephone conversation, our agent will reassure your client, give recommendations and inform them of the next steps to be taken. This will enable us to gather the vital information required for quick and effective action.
The GUS professional managing the file will contact your client directly within an hour following our agent’s first phone call in order to plan a time to carry out the emergency work.

The insured takes note of the damage and contacts you directly.
Contacting our Damage Response Centre
When you submit your emergency mandate to the GUS Damage Response Centre, simply dial one number : 1-800-361-0911, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your mandate will immediately be assigned to a GUS professional nearby.

A response in under 4 hours**
Less than four hours after being assigned a mandate, our GUS professional is already at work at the scene of the damage. This rapid response helps to mitigate damage and, consequently, to limit related costs.
A report in under 8 hours**
In less than eight working hours following the receipt of your mandate, the GUS professional on the scene will contact your file manager. He or she will be immediately informed of the nature of the damage, its extent and the work that needs to be done. This report optimizes your knowledge of the file and simplifies its management.

Conditions
- The Chrono Plan program applies only to emergency work.
- The 17-minute guarantee corresponds to the time period from the receipt of the mandate from the insurer (by telephone or fax) to the telephone call placed by the GUS professional to the insured.
- Mandates must be given directly to our Damage Response Centre by phone at 1-800-361-0911 or by fax at 1-888-839-3321.
- Mandates submitted by email, or by software such as Symbility, Xactimate and Smart, are not eligible to the Chrono Plan program.
- All mandates resulting from a natural disaster are excluded from this program.
